The Nokia Lumia 2520 10.1-inch Tablet!

Nokia has come up with their very own tablet! They might be a little late in the game, considering almost every other smartphone brand in the market have already come up with tablet models for years, but the strong Nokia Lumia following almost guarantees at very least, a mediocre success for the brand new Nokia Lumia 2520 10.1-inch tablet!

The Lumia tablet runs on Windows RT 8.1 that means that you would only be able to download apps and programs from the Windows Store. With that said running on Windows RT allows the tablet to be much thinner and energy efficient, translating to a more lightweight tablet and longer battery life. Windows RT systems also have much quicker boot up times.

Looking at the set of features as a whole, this Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet is designed to be in direct competition with Windows Surface tablets. The tablet can be used with an optional external keyboard called the Power Keyboard that comes with additional ports, a trackpad and a built in battery pack that can extend the tablet’s battery life for an additional 5 hours. Due to the built it battery back, the keyboard is a little thicker than the Windows Surface keyboards, but I think it is a small price to pay for the added battery life. The Power Keyboard will be priced at $150.

According to many hands-on reports, many have described the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet’s design to be an enlarged Nokia 720. Its back is covered with a smooth polycarbonate surface and the edges have thin, rounded finishes that makes it rather comfortable to hold. This model comes with a 1920 x 1080 resolution screen that so far, has been receiving rave reviews for its incredible color accuracy and excellent viewing angles. For a seamless experience, the tablet comes with a powerful 2.2Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. The battery on the tablet gives up to 10 hours of use on a single charge.

On the back of the tablet you will find a 6.7MP camera and there is also a front facing 2MP HD camera. Nokia also said that they will include both LTE and wi-fi connectivity in its tablet models. The Nokia Lumia 2520 tablets will be available in black, cyan, white and red. Info on its pricing and date of release have yet to be revealed.
