The last time I checked there was a BootCamp 2.1, but it could be higher now. The newer ones had improved drivers for 64-bit. Windows 7 will detect a lot of the commodity hardware in the Apple systems right out of the box and not have any issue. For the advanced proprietary stuff (multitouch trackpads, iSight, etc) you will have to use the BootCamp drivers. Windows 7 can use drivers made for Vista until there are Windows 7 specific drivers. . For those who haven't tried out Windows 7, you can still get the Release Candidate for free from Microsoft until August 20th: http://tinyurl.com/9agzvs . If you are anxious to get the final version of Windows 7 before the October 22nd release date, you can always sign up for MSDN or TechNet Plus (it was released to them on the 6th, see here: http://tinyurl.com/mpgp4h ).
